Message from former 24 HOURS OF ALLAMUCHY RACE DIRECTOR SARAH RICHARDS:

On Sunday, August 11, we held the Dean Eberling Memorial Ride. Dean's
family and friends came out in force along with a crew of mountain
bikers who knew Dean as a teammate or just as a fellow cyclist.

The memorial was placed on the edge of a trail that borders both the
Allamuchy State Park and the Mt Allamuchy Scout Reservation, where Dean
raced year after year at the 24 Hours of Allamuchy. The memorial will
long serve as a valuable reminder, for all who see it, of the sacrifices
others have made and continue to make, for our freedom.

This year the 24 Hours of Allamuchy race course will be passing by the
memorial and hundreds of mountain bikers will be able to pay their tribute.
